Tonight, I ran the 100th and my last London Internet of Things Meetup. I wrote about what I think we’ve achieved as a community back in May. It’s been such an honour to meet so many people and support them in a simple way in their journey: give them the time to talk about what they were passionate about, working on, hired to do. Facilitating conversations in the beginning of an industry is absolutely key and I think I’ve contributed positively to a now mature global conversation about the internet of things. It’s been a real pleasure, and I look forward to seeing what Dominie does with it.
Salute to the legend, I love and respect you so so much. You have created unquantifiable value and made the ldn iot community one of the best in the world. You made it look so easy when it wasn’t, it was an honour @iotwatch Much love on the next chapter https://t.co/TXmNzT7JHD
currently listening to @Kevin_Ashton who coined the phrase "internet of things" waaaay back in 1999 when the dot-com boom was at its peak—remember that? pic.twitter.com/LeBlGMtNvQ
