The British Society for Social Responsibility in Science needs to make a comeback / i love the idea that pâté chinois could come from pemmican but also that’s definitely the original protein ball / the history of ‘modern European‘ food in London / didn’t know that the idea of a rose can be designed into culture / on the beginnings of design fiction as a term / the Open House Festival are looking for a new director / I saw Herbie Hancock last night so I should probably watch Round Midnight / I’m a bit jel of the Glastonbury folks who will get to listen to the Black Dyke Band / the really impressive life of housing campaigner Mick Hugo / that Robin S remix in Beyoncé’s new song reminded me of the incredible Steve Angello remix (although the video has not aged well) / the toxic culture at the Bartlett reminds me of moments at my alma mater / the curious case of the Spanish man who built his own cathedral / on why people need time to change their world view / why can democracy be liquid I wonder / the dollar vans of NYC.
