Along with Peter Bihr & Dries de Roeck, I organised a series of three exhibitions (during the Milan Furniture Fair, in Aalst Living Lab and during the London Design Festival) around concepts of ‘The Good Home’. The work which was showcased was generated by multi-disciplinary approaches, group work and virtual submissions between 2016 and 2018.

Aalst Living Lab
In November 2017 we curated 13 projects that represent thought provoking and even controversial ideas of how technology fits within the process of ageing at home. These projects shed new light in this dark space, the one that comes before a loved one’s death or chronic illness no matter what their age. We focused on companies that showed an interest in multi-disciplinary and blended approach of design, user-centered practices, art and technology.

These projects included: Tinybots (NL) Buddy Radio by Sidekick Studios (UK), No Isolation (NL), Connected Social Care Report (UK), Uninvited Guests by Superflux (UK), Kuri by Mayfield Robotics (USA), Beveridge Report 4.0 by Participle (UK), Homes by our old age by CABE (UK), Kemuri (UK), Good Night Lamp (UK), Radio Me by Telefonica R&D (ES), DIoTTO (BE), Meal Butler by Studio Dott (BE)
The Living Lab hosted us and we conducted tours of the space during an open weekend.
