In 2020, the BBC R&D North Lab and myself won some funding from NESTA to turn their Human Values work into practical tools for policy-making.
Building on my experience shepherding the London Internet of Things community into developing the Better IoT assessment tool, I helped them develop a questionnaire for people building digital tools.
The questionnaire interrogates someone’s user experience decisions and the way they run their organisation. Most of the questions are Y/N type questions but some are more suited for group discussions.
The process of designing the questionnaire and the questions themselves took 6 months. The team will be running a few workshops to get feedback from product managers and others in the digital space in the autumn of 2021.
