Sunday Scraps #112

A book about the Concorde /  can’t wait until Pol Esteve Castelló publishes their book about the architecture of discos / will someone curate an exhibition about the instructions we give to protestors / I posit architects started using arrows when universal road signs were developed / Scrutton street might be redeveloped and i’m a bit heartbroken / innovation passports sound interesting / i think we can all agree a page with links isn’t worth £4.1M / went past the smallest crescent in Europe / all due respect but ‘treating technology as a public good’ is one of those unworkable vapid statements I wish foresight consultants would stop using / antirender should be part of local planning processes / Ruby Tandoh’s latest book was a terrific soundtrack to my weekend / the Birthing exhibition at the Wellcome is small but oh so worth it / i’m very late to Rewinder, the BBC Radio 4’s show based on its archive / looking forward to seeing the R. Crumb show.

In job seeking news, I got my first automated rejection of the year. I don’t hate the players, but I do hate the game. If I lived in Manchester, I’d apply for the CEO role at Unit M (although shame on them for not posting the salary range). A VP of Innovation, Learning and Strategy role at Tent looks interesting. The TBI AI Director role looks interesting but I think that business might be too high octane for me.

In social news, going to pop in to St Leonards-on-Sea for Valentine’s day to distract myself from the fact that it’ll mark a year since mum died. I’m also counting down the days to my April trip to Greece (Athens, Hydra and Aegina). I don’t holiday often but when I do, I go hard.
