The critique of the Vanity Fair White House photoshoot is on point / I’m late to the party but Articles of Interest is an excellent podcast about clothes which led me down a rabbit hole where I found out Levi’s created ‘casual fridays’ and a mysterious death in the 1940s / I’m not sure we should be using science to talk about this late stage of feminism, but hey if it helps us make space for difficult feelings, why not / finding out about design circles / I think it’s important to read pre-internet visions of the internet’s impact and Literary Machines (1981) is such a thing / I’ve been told I need to read the Culture Map / again, late to the party but I have fallen in love with matcha which means I’m replacing coffee with an even more expensive foodstuff so thank god i can save on postage by picking up from Postcard Teas who stone roll their own / incredible that James Blake sampled Sister Irene O’Connor / some beautiful candid photos of Marcel Breuer at home in Cape Cod.
In social news, it’s my birthday tomorrow so if you enjoy these notes, please let me know in the comments. That will feel like candles on a cake.
In job search news, I’m half way through my contract with the Energy Systems Catapult Living Lab so will be available from Q1 if you’d like to talk to me about what I do and how I could help, slide into my DMs. If there’s a full time role, that would be even better but hey, I’m easy.
