Sunday Scraps #97

I’ve been hanging out at Somerset House it was weird to see a cupboard labelled the West Asian and North African Women’s Art Library overnight / insert.art is an interesting digital magazine /  Vania Heymann and Gal Muggia’s surrealist inspired videography is the kind of stuff AI wish it could come up with / remembering Decentering Whiteness in Design History resources that were shared in 2020 / the multiple histories of the Chinese marriage cake are fun / I was rewatching The Departed and found out about Paul Marvin Rudolph‘s brutalist works / earmarking An Excess of Carelessness for my next perfume purchase / there is such a thing as a revenge pigment / might take myself to this Le Corbusier site outside Lyon soon / sometimes a place is not really recognised as a place.

It’s been a very physical week of moving things around for my current client which led me to cancel all my evening plans out of exhaustion. I’m hoping I regain some energy next week. I probably ought to take a long weekend away somewhere soon.
