Sunday Scraps #89

The ongoing armed conflicts page on Wikipedia is both illuminating and depressing / Britain talks climate content design toolkit is really useful / i ate some deep-fried kurdish bread the other day and oh my / my friend Maddy Corner’s new short film is coming out soon / I wonder if the recently solved Finsbury Park ceramic mystery is depicting Alicia Markova / really amused by the origin of ‘red letter day‘ / the pudding is an excellent collection of interesting visuals in case you thought everything is becoming a chat box / the Edward Burra Spotify soundtrack based on his music collection is excellent summer music / i wish someone had told me this when I was younger / an interesting book about design teaching and another one about the capitalist history of design / the only think I think about when I heard about Heinz Stücke is the people who kept him alive all these years / I think it’s important to understand American exceptionalism so i’m starting by reading Grapes of Wrath which I’m really enjoying.

In social news, I’m helping Rachel with an event tonight, been invited by Irti to act as a crit for some CCI students next week and attending OffGrid Sessions in Osea in a couple of weeks.

In job searching news, things are ‘landing’ this week so I expect to hear about whether I’ll be interviewed for one role, whether an offer might be made from another and hopefully get some clarity on some freelance work too. I’m doing a lot of knitting to compensate.
