A biting review of this year’s Venice Architecture Biennale / a show of Derek Jarman’s paintings / my friend Simon recommended I read Butler to the World to explain why we put up with so much / I don’t think I ever properly met Mike but it’s sad he’s leaving TechCrunch Europe / I’m not sure how AI Ethics can be ‘accelerated’ but hey what do I know / the Global Good Fund is interesting / an interesting call for papers about ancestral knowledge and feminist futures / some very beautiful piano by Montrealer Laurie Torres / on making space for young designers / this V&A creative fellowship related to their archives and library looks great / while people swoon over Jonny Ive and Deiter Rams, I mostly remember Hans Gugelot who died too soon / the Bethnal Green Ventures deadline for their next programme of support is soon.
In social news (oh ho a new section) I’m attending the PV of the London Design Biennale, a talk at the Artists’ Fair 2025 and Mariana Mazzucato’s panel on the value of design.
In job seeking news, still waiting for news for one role I applied for at the end of April and have an interview next week. I’m also looking at the National Festival of Making who are looking for trustees. My freelance dance card is still pretty empty at the minute so if you’d like my support with your innovation work, your hiring process or your event/installation, call me (insert Blondie gif).
