Sunday Scraps #81

Beirut and Bon Iver‘s new albums are making me think I’ve time travelled back to 2006. I especially love Garbo’s Face and THINGS BEHIND THINGS BEHING THINGS / a new arts and architecture grant scheme is great / an intro course to Political Technology is the kind of thing I would have gone for when I was younger /  Bernstein rehearsing Mahler / my niece ordered golden tea the other day which seems simple enough to make / a new college of design in Japan / on German lieds / a poem by Mary Oliver a friend sent me / a form to repent from your sins as a designer / Muybridge on socks / a history of creative R&D in the UK / adding la Maison La Roche to my list of modernist homes to visit / Tint Library is a temporary lending library of Black publications / the seaweed academy should be something all product designers visit / and they should teach architecture students about Hélène de Mandrot / I wonder what happened to the tree next to the Penguin pool because when I went to see it this week, it had been cut down / finally I’m going to walk bits of the Capital Ring this week.

Meanwhile on the job seeking front, roles I was interested in but chose not to apply for include Associate Director at Ada Lovelace Institute (salary too low and team too small), Power and low carbon Solutions (Green Homes) at Baringa (no salary info and role is too junior). The roles I’m still interested in include, Director of Innovation and Partnerships at the Atlantic Institute and  Deputy Chief Executive Officer at the Carbon Trust. I also had an interview this week which was fun.
