  1. What did you do in 2025 that you\u2019d never done before?
    \nActed instead of waiting for things to improve.<\/li>\n
  2. Did you keep your New Years\u2019 resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
    \nI didn\u2019t make any.<\/li>\n
  3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
    \nA friend in NYC.<\/li>\n
  4. Did anyone close to you die?
    \n    Yes<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  5. What countries\/cities did you visit?
    \nBy train: Netherlands (this week)
    \nBy airplane: Montr\u00e9al (twice), Athens, Venice and Nice (for Betwixmas)<\/li>\n
  6. What would you like to have in 2026 that you lacked in 2025?
    \nLess grief, more joy.<\/li>\n
  7. What date from 2025 will remain etched upon your memory?
    \nFebruary 13th<\/sup>.<\/li>\n
  8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
    \nSticking to yoga weekly and re-introducing     jive classes<\/a>. Also getting prescribed HRT.<\/li>\n
  9. What was your biggest failure?
    \nI don’t think it’s a me thing alone, but not being able to find a job hasn’t felt great.<\/li>\n
  10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
    \nI had a short lived breast cancer scare. I’m fine.<\/li>\n
  11. What was the best thing you bought?
    \nA lot of Michel Houellebecq.<\/li>\n
  12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
    \nAnyone holding on and advocating for their DEI program at work.<\/li>\n
  13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
    \nThe UK Supreme Court and their ridiculous ruling on gender back in April.<\/li>\n
  14. Where did most of your money go?
    \nFlights back home for obvious reasons.<\/li>\n
  15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
    \nThe end of the year.<\/li>\n
  16. What song\/album will always remind you of 2025?
    \n    They gave me a lamp<\/a> by Public Service Broadcasting.<\/li>\n
  17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
    \nMuch, much sadder.<\/li>\n
  18. What do you wish you\u2019d done more of?
    \nCycling, saving money.<\/li>\n
  19. What do you wish you\u2019d done less of?
    \nCrying.<\/li>\n
  20. How will you be spending Christmas?
    \nWith my friend J. and his mum.<\/li>\n
  21. Who did you spend the most time on the phone with?
    \nJ.<\/li>\n
  22. Did you fall in love in 2025?
    \nNo.<\/li>\n
  23. Do you hate anyone now that you didn\u2019t hate this time last year?
    \nNo, but there are people I don\u2019t count as friends anymore.<\/li>\n
  24. What was the best book(s) you read?
    \n    The Price of Life<\/a> and S\u00e9rotonine<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  25. What was your greatest musical discovery?
    \nThe playlists of     Peter Adjaye<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  26. What did you want and get?
    \nTo organise the 4th<\/sup> edition of     Papercamp<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  27. What did you want and not get?
    \nA full time job.<\/li>\n
  28. What were your favourite films of this year?
    \n    Being a Human Person<\/a> (which I just discovered this year) and Shifty<\/a> by Adam Curtis<\/li>\n
  29. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
    \nIt\u2019s in a couple of weeks and no real plans this year, just going to hang out with J.<\/li>\n
  30. What’s one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
    \nFor the NHS to get it together and stop fiddling with     software<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  31. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2025?
    \nTrying to lean into the CEO vibe (dress for the job you want, etc).<\/li>\n
  32. What kept you sane?
    \nConversations with friends and hosting.<\/li>\n
  33. What political issue stirred you the most?
    \nThe way Reform convinced Labour that immigrants were a problem worth leaning into.<\/li>\n
  34. Who did you miss?
    \nDad who died 10 years ago this month.
    \nM. who died 4 years ago.
    \nMum, who died this year.<\/li>\n
  35. Who was the best new person you met?
    \nI really enjoyed building deeper connections with recent friends like C. and M. and S. and J. who just graduated and are finding themselves slowly.<\/li>\n
  36. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2025.
    \nWhen in doubt, walk it off.<\/li>\n
  37. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
