<\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Went to an <a href=\"https:\/\/eatworkart.com\/cornerstone-studios\">open studio night<\/a> and had the pleasure of meeting the artist <a href=\"https:\/\/ocula.com\/magazine\/art-news\/barby-asante-celebrates-black-workers-on-tube\/\">Barby Asante<\/a> \/ am going to try to go see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/artanddesign\/2025\/oct\/15\/claire-fontaine-show-less-mimosa-house-london-courbet-origine-du-monde\">Claire Fontaine<\/a>‘s show and the AA Gallery show about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aaschool.ac.uk\/publicprogramme\/whatson\/the-word-for-world\">Ursula K Le Guin’s maps<\/a>\u00a0 \/ the concept of a <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Method_of_loci\">memory palace<\/a> is so interesting \/ calling <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/future\/article\/20251009-rescuing-knowledge-trapped-on-old-floppy-disks\">floppy disks<\/a> old makes me feel ancient \/ I went to Venice a week ago and loved the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fondazioneprada.org\/project\/diagrams\/?lang=en\">Diagrams<\/a> show by OMA at Fondazione Prada, the <a href=\"https:\/\/labiennale.art.pl\/en\/wystawy\/lares-and-penates-on-building-a-sense-of-security-in-architecture\/\">Polish<\/a> pavillion and the <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.google.com\/view\/doxiadis\">Doxiadis Informational Modernism<\/a> exhibit in the Arsenale (the first time I see <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ekistics\">ekistics<\/a> mentioned) \/ I find it very hard to believe the artist-run <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/XxBuoegXxFY?si=4pWxaOoN2_7c9UK6\">FOOD<\/a> restaurant was the first one in SoHo \/ the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eco-compute.io\/\">eco-compute<\/a> conference looks interesting \/ it’ll soon be 40 years since James Baldwin gave this <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/7_1ZEYgtijk?si=XdJRf2MiUKEQByLT\">talk<\/a> but it might as well be today \/ I popped into the British Library yesterday to look at the catalogue for a 2013 exhibition about <a href=\"https:\/\/kellenberger-white.com\/project\/xerography\/\">xerography<\/a> and learnt that the photocopier was an <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Chester_Carlson\">IP lawyer’s side project<\/a> and that a <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.getty.edu\/iris\/hit-print-make-art\/\">21 year old woman<\/a> was the first to photocopy her derri\u00e8re at work \/ I’ve been playing around with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/designswarm\/\">video<\/a> a little and looking at cinemagraphs next.<\/p>\n<p>In social news, I’m going to an alumni evening at the Qu\u00e9bec office in London, having dinner with <a href=\"https:\/\/cubicgarden.com\/about\/\">Ian<\/a> who is in town, attending my friend <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/posts\/rosieburbidge_law-lawyer-legal-activity-7377295800625811457-LK7A?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop&rcm=ACoAAAA8XQoBAk11ZfQR2b5uKqPgE1br8jVYDTA\">Rosie’s book launch<\/a> and going to see the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.frieze.com\/fairs\/frieze-london\">Frieze<\/a> with some former colleagues.<\/p>\n<p>In job seeking news, I’m starting my 4th week of a 6 month contract supporting the Energy Systems Catapult with business development for their <a href=\"https:\/\/es.catapult.org.uk\/tools-and-labs\/living-lab\/\">Living Lab<\/a> (which the fierce <a href=\"https:\/\/www.clairerowland.com\/\">Claire<\/a> is leading).
