I apologised to those concerned of course but in those moments I remind myself of this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mountargusparish.ie\/17th-century-nunss-prayer\/\">17th century nun&#8217;s prayer<\/a> \/ I&#8217;m annoyed I missed this exhibition about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buildingcentre.co.uk\/whats_on\/exhibitions\/shade-the-uk-shading-for-a-resilient-future\">shade<\/a> \/ thinking about popping into Bruxelles to see the <a href=\"https:\/\/fondationfolon.be\/visiter\/preparez-votre-visite\/\">Fondation Folon<\/a> on a daytrip \/ beautiful <a href=\"https:\/\/etienne.design\/portfolio\/kim_sauvage-3-4-3\/\">AI &#8216;painted&#8217; typography<\/a> \/\u00a0 I didn&#8217;t know about the fake <a href=\"https:\/\/www.connexionfrance.com\/magazine\/architecture-of-france-fake-paris-faades-cover-up-pollution-secret\/131191\">Parisian building facades<\/a> \/ a super well researched podcast about <a href=\"https:\/\/gastropod.com\/why-does-everyone-have-food-allergies-these-days\/\">food allergies<\/a> \/ I need to make sure I buy something from <a href=\"https:\/\/veneziaautentica.com\/venice-shop-alessandro-merlin-ceramics\/\">Alessandro Merlin<\/a> in Venice later this year \/ I&#8217;m not sure climate change is going to be solved by showing people <a href=\"https:\/\/grist.org\/science\/break-through-climate-apathy-data-visualization-lake-freezing-study\/\">the right kinds of diagrams<\/a> but it can&#8217;t hurt I suppose \/ a project by the lovely <a href=\"https:\/\/stamen.com\/people\/eric-rodenbeck\/\">Eric<\/a> about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.getty.edu\/publications\/ruscha\/project\/4\/\">Ed Ruscha&#8217;s photos of L.A.<\/a> \/ the <a href=\"https:\/\/festival.org\/gdif\/whats-on\/passage\/\">Greenwich &amp; Docklands International Festival<\/a> of dance looks great \/ on the problem with facts that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theatlantic.com\/technology\/archive\/2025\/06\/ai-janky-web\/683228\/\">sound right but aren&#8217;t<\/a> \/ i wonder what <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.co.uk\/Everything-Know-about-Learned-PowerPoint\/dp\/1788167376\">Russell<\/a> makes of this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/documents\/857b6c65-0690-4b3c-b438-e3dc1dc87340.pdf?itid=lk_inline_manual_28\">3 slide presentation<\/a> on deregulating the US government.<\/p>\n<p>In social news, it&#8217;s getting to that quiet bit in the London calendar I&#8217;ve learnt to relish as I avoid travelling on school holidays. So I&#8217;m catching up with my mentor from the co-mentoring programme at <a href=\"https:\/\/associationofchairs.co.uk\/\">Association of Chairs<\/a> and going to see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DL90_A3N3aL\/\">Phin&#8217;s gallery private view<\/a>. I&#8217;ve also rented a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.musiqgroup.co.uk\/\">piano<\/a> after a 30 year break and starting with the basics of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.co.uk\/Methode-Rose-First-Year-original\/dp\/B001J2Z5BC\/\">La M\u00e9thode Rose<\/a>. I learnt in French so finding it to weird to switch to English for this.<\/p>\n<p>In job seeking news, I&#8217;m busy with contract work until March 2026. I should be able to share more soon but I&#8217;m in the middle of one contract and don&#8217;t start the next one until late September. I&#8217;m still keeping my eyes peeled for a full time leadership role as I was able to hold my nerve these past few months because I had a bit of a cushion. I won&#8217;t be earning quite enough to build one up again, so I&#8217;ll have to line something up for April next year over the autumn. With that in mind, the <a href=\"https:\/\/jobs.nationalgrid.com\/uk\/jobs\/67611\/innovation-director\">Innovation Director<\/a> of National Grid looks interesting.
