  1. What did you do in 2023 that you\u2019d never done before?
    \nI started quiet quitting some bad habits.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    1. Did you keep your New Years\u2019 resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
      \nI\u2019ve given up on those I think.<\/li>\n
    2. Did anyone close to you give birth?
      \nNo<\/li>\n
    3. Did anyone close to you die?
      \nA friend lost her mum.<\/li>\n
    4. What countries did you visit?
      \nAshamed to say my travelling did pick up this year.
      \nBy train: Locarno, Paris, Rotterdam, Amsterdam.
      \nBy airplane: New York City (for work), Nice & Venice.<\/li>\n
    5. What would you like to have in 2024 that you lacked in 2023?
      \nA bit more of that unbearable lightness of being I hear so much about.<\/li>\n
    6. What date from 2023 will remain etched upon your memory?
      \nMarch 5th<\/sup><\/sup><\/li>\n
    7. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
      \nHelping       Superflux<\/a> build an exhibition for IKEA in Manhattan where I\u2019d never worked before.<\/li>\n
    8. What was your biggest failure?
      \nDe-conditioning after years of an active lifestyle.<\/li>\n
    9. Did you suffer illness or injury?
      \nLower back pain for the first time ever (possibly sciatica)\u00a0and my voice changed (thankfully benign).<\/li>\n
    10. What was the best thing you bought?
      \nA few bits from       Joline Jolink<\/a> in Rotterdam and too many earrings.<\/li>\n
    11. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
      \nWomen in Iran.<\/li>\n
    12. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
      \nToo many to name. Also don\u2019t feed the trolls.<\/li>\n
    13. Where did most of your money go?
      \nProbably       40 Maltby Street<\/a> again although my patronage of Dauns<\/a> is also getting out of control.<\/li>\n
    14. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
      \nMy first 10 day break in years.<\/li>\n
    15. What song\/album will always remind you of 2023?
      \nThe new       This Is The Kit <\/a><\/li>\n
    16. Compared to this time last year, are you:
      \nMore calm.<\/li>\n
    17. What do you wish you\u2019d done more of?
      \nCycling. I miss it.<\/li>\n
    18. What do you wish you\u2019d done less of?
      \nWorrying about things I can do nothing about.<\/li>\n
    19. How will you be spending Christmas?
      \nChristmas Day lunch with J. who\u2019s let me crash his family do for the second year in a row.<\/li>\n
    20. Who did you spend the most time on the phone with?
      \nJ.<\/li>\n
    21. Did you fall in love in 2023?
      \nI did, and I have the scars to prove it. It was an absolute disaster but I have no regrets. You can\u2019t win if you don\u2019t play.<\/li>\n
    22. What was your favourite TV programme?
      \nStarted watching very old tele recently (the first series of both Sex and the City and Friends).<\/li>\n
    23. Do you hate anyone now that you didn\u2019t hate this time last year?
      \nNo.<\/li>\n
    24. What was the best book(s) you read?
      \n      The Passenger<\/a> and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow<\/a> were very different but great.<\/li>\n
    25. What was your greatest musical discovery?
      \nMy Design Council colleagues and I still share a Spotify playlist and there\u2019s been a lot of excellent pop in it.<\/li>\n
    26. What did you want and get?
      \nA chance to hang out with my nieces and show them my town.<\/li>\n
    27. What did you want and not get?
      \nA chance to share my holidays with someone special.<\/li>\n
    28. What were your favourite films of this year?
      \n      T\u00e1r.<\/a><\/li>\n
    29. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
      \nIt\u2019s this weekend and I\u2019m having a posh brekkie with J. and going to the       Yayoi Kusama Infinity Rooms<\/a> in Tate Modern.<\/li>\n
    30. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
      \nBetter quality sleep.<\/li>\n
    31. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2023?
      \nMenopause chic. Trying to rock some lipstick a little more often.<\/li>\n
    32. What kept you sane?
      \nConversations with J.<\/li>\n
    33. Which celebrity\/public figure did you fancy the most?
      \nNo time for that. (same answer for the last 10 years)<\/li>\n
    34. What political issue stirred you the most?
      \nThe UK government\u2019s handling of LGBTQ+ issues.<\/li>\n
    35. Who did you miss?
      \nM. who died 2 years ago.
      \nDad who died 8 years ago.<\/li>\n
    36. Who was the best new person you met?
      \nHave loved gossiping with R. and leaving M. voice notes.<\/li>\n
    37. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2023.
      \nYou don\u2019t have to say yes to everything. Not everything you say yes to is a good idea.<\/li>\n
