Why Stint?

A definition: "A stint is one of several very small waders in the genus Calidris, which in North America are known as peeps. Some of these birds are difficult to identifybecause of the similarity between species, and various breeding, non-breeding,juvenile and molting plumages."

The name Stint was chosen for its phonetics and also because of its meaning, it is a synonym of sharing but also is in a way describing a specific and personal even a little egotistic aspect of owning your network and treasuring some relationships more than others. Embodying those 2 aspects in the same word described the dichotomy that exists between sharing and still retaining ownership.

The product design and branding were also influenced by the first definition of the word which suited the metaphor of use: the flock of birds that one would carry around with one's self.
