Good Night Lamp (ongoing)

This project was developed in response to a brief sent by Droog Design in fall 2005. They wanted us to design products that would speak to the single life of the future. The project then took a life of it's own and is now being developed with Tinker.it a design and technology consultancy I'm involved with, based in Milan, London and Amsterdam.

The Good Night Lamp is a family of lamps, made up of a big bulb-operated lamp and 3 smaller lamps LED lit. As you give your lamps away to friends around the world, they are remotely connected to your big one so that when you switch it on, all of it's "children" switch on as well. This creates a sense of connectedness between people through a simple everyday gesture.
