About her
Alexandra was born in Montreal, Canada, but grew up mostly in Europe and the Middle East. After completing a Bachelor's in Industrial Design at the Universite de Montreal, she moved to Italy to complete a Master's degree in Interaction Design at the Interaction Design Institute Ivrea in 2006.
After freelancing in Europe, she is now the CEO of technology and design consultancy Tinker and based in London. She blogs on designswarm, Shift6 and Tinker on a regular basis.
She is also an active conference speaker and is generally interested in the service design, interaction design and how design will evolve out of it's current state into a de-centralised model of empowerment and DIY problem-solving.
